A classic day and a skating day in Gatineau
The Gatineau Loppet is a cross-country ski weekend in Gatineau, Québec, with a full ladder of distances in each technique.
The 2027 Gatineau Loppet is the 49th edition and runs from 19 to 21 February in Gatineau, Québec. The weekend is built around two race days, one for each technique, so a skier can pick a style or race both.
Saturday 20 February is the classic day, with 50 km, 27 km, 15 km, 10 km and 5 km. The same day hosts the Ultra Challenge over 100 km, for skiers who want to go well beyond marathon length. Sunday 21 February is the free technique day, again over 50 km, 27 km, 15 km, 10 km and 5 km, and there is also the 2 km Mini. The classic 10 km and the free technique 15 km are the two new distances announced for 2027.
The organiser says the two new distances were designed to give more options to skiers who want an accessible challenge. Check the organiser's skier information for start times and course details before race day.
The organiser calls the Loppet the biggest international cross-country ski gathering in Canada. It is part of Worldloppet, and the races use the trails of Gatineau Park.
On Livebib you can follow a skier who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Gatineau Loppet.
