Swimrun across a bay, minutes from the city

EX Swimrun Edsviken brings three swimrun courses to the Edsviken bay in Sollentuna on Saturday 21 August 2027, about 15 minutes from central Stockholm.

Edsviken is a long bay of the Baltic that reaches into Sollentuna, north of Stockholm, and EX Swimrun uses its shores, islands and coves for a full day of racing. In 2027 the race also hosts the MySwimrun World Championship at the half-marathon distance, and welcomes athletes from all over the world to Sollentuna.

There are three distances. EX Long is 24 km and EX Sprint 14 km, and both have more than a fifth of their distance in the water. They start together at 12:00. EX Five is 5 km and starts at 10:00, and the organiser pitches it at beginners, children and friends who want to try swimrun together.

The courses combine fast gravel roads and paths with technical trail, long swims across Edsviken and shorter swims with quick changes between islands and bays. Participants under 18 race at half price, which makes EX Five a good family start.

Safety boats, officials and spectators are found along the whole route, and after the finish the swimrun crowd gathers at Arena Edsvik for a party with good food, drinks, fika and a DJ, together with spectators and racers. The organiser calls the day swimrun, racing and a party in one.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live if they choose to share their own position from the phone they carry during the race. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by EX Swimrun.
