City, pier, city: The Hague's March half marathon

The NN CPC Loop Den Haag is a March road race in The Hague whose half marathon links the city centre to the coast at Scheveningen and back.

The 2027 race is on Sunday 14 March and is the 51st edition, after the 50th in 2026 marked fifty years of the event. Start and finish are at the Malieveld in the centre of The Hague, and the starts of all distances are on the Koningskade. The name says what the half marathon does: a real City Pier City loop from the city to the coast and back again.

The NN Halve Marathon of 21.1 km runs from the Malieveld through several Hague neighbourhoods to the Scheveningen boulevard and returns to the Malieveld. The organiser describes it as one of the fastest courses in the world, where many personal records are run, and start waves are set by your expected finish time. The half marathon was already sold out for 2027 when this page was written.

The 10 KM Loop starts just after the Koningskade, passes the Scheveningse Bosjes and Westbroekpark, follows the half marathon route in its last kilometres and finishes on the Boorlaan next to the Malieveld. It is a Hague classic and a good way to start a running season. There is also a 5 KM Loop, youth runs of 2.5 and 1 km, and business runs.

The organiser says there is a crowd along the whole route to cheer the runners on, from the Malieveld out to the Scheveningen boulevard and back. The 10 KM Loop has also grown into a very popular part of the day in recent years, with thousands of runners.
