Through the moat and into the castle
Conquer the Castle is a medieval themed obstacle race of 4,000 metres and 25 obstacles around Rosenholm Slot, 20 minutes north of Aarhus, on Saturday 2 October 2027.
Rosenholm Slot dates from 1560 and is Denmark's oldest family estate still held by the same family. The castle, the moat, the castle garden and the castle forest set the scene, and the route goes round the whole estate and even straight through the castle and the moat. The medieval theme runs through the whole event as a story you race through.
The 25 obstacles test strength, technique, pace, wit and precision, packed into a short, hard 4 km course. You can enter the Open Race on your own, taking each obstacle at your own pace, or as a team that helps each other through and shares the experience. Open Race heats run through the day in four blocks, from 08:15 in the morning to 15:00 in the afternoon.
Elite is for those who want to measure themselves against the best. Places are by application, and the elite manager picks 25 men and 25 women. Companies can enter colleagues together in the company class, which starts between 11:00 and 12:00.
There is parking next to the castle. Open Race entries can be made alone or as a team, and companies registered in Denmark pay by invoice.
On Livebib, a participant can choose to share their own live position from the phone they carry, so friends can follow along on the map. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Conquer the Castle.
