Twenty-five kilometres and 850 metres of climbing on the trails immediately below the town: down to the Confluence where the two forks of the American River meet, out along the Quarry Road, over No Hands Bridge and back up the same climb the hundred-milers will take the following night. It is the short race of the weekend and the one that fills with local runners, but the finish is the same arch, on the same street, with the same crowd.

The limit is five hours, so the field is home in the evening and most of it is home in daylight. This page belongs to the 2027 running of the 25K.
