Slovakia's long standing ski race at Skalka

Biela stopa is a cross country ski weekend at Skalka above Kremnica in central Slovakia, and 2027 is its 54th edition.

Biela stopa 2027 is held on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027 at Skalka pri Kremnici. The organiser describes it as the oldest cross country ski event in Slovakia, and the 2027 races are its 54th edition. Registration and number pick up run from 4 to 7 February.

Saturday is the free style day. The 50 km and the 25 km both start at 10:00 at Skalka. On the long race the organiser may set a time limit at Skalka after 30 km, announced at the race office on the Friday evening. Sunday brings the 30 km classic, which also starts at 10:00.

There are also races for younger skiers under the Biela stopa Junior and Biela stopa Mini names, so the weekend works for families as well as for skiers chasing a long distance. The tracks run through the Kremnica mountains around Skalka, and the organiser publishes track grooming reports through the winter.

Snow can change the plan. In 2026 the long free style race was shortened to 27 km because of warm weather, so check the organiser's news in the week before the race. Spectators gather at the start and finish area at Skalka, where both days begin.

On Livebib you can follow a skier who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and official results come from the organiser.
