A Friday-evening double-poling sprint under lights at Bedřichov, two days before the Jizerská 50 is skied from the same stadium.
The Bedřichov Heat Sprint is Event 8 of the Ski Classics season and is raced on Friday 12 February 2027 at the Bedřichov Ski Stadium in the Jizera Mountains of the Czech Republic. The course is 1.5 km in classic technique, raced by double poling. The men start at 16:00 CET and the women at 16:30 CET, and the racing runs into the dark under floodlights, with the forest behind the stadium.
The format is built in rounds. Athletes first race individually, then meet in semifinal heats of seven. The top three in each semifinal advance to the final, together with the fastest seventh-place skier, the lucky loser. The final is seven sprint specialists racing for points in both the Sprint and the overall Champion competitions. Two days later, on Sunday 14 February, the Jizerská 50 starts from the same stadium.
A sprint is over in minutes and is best watched at the stadium under the lights. What Livebib adds is for the people who are not there: a skier can share a link to their own broadcast, and anyone with it opens it in a browser, with no account and no app, to see the position on the course line and the distance covered, with anything estimated marked as estimated. The skier decides who gets the link.
