150 km around the Arlberg from St. Anton

The Arlberg Giro is a road cycling marathon that starts and finishes in St. Anton am Arlberg and loops through Tyrol and Vorarlberg on 150 km of alpine roads.

The 2027 edition is on Sunday 1 August, and the start is at 07.00 in the pedestrian zone of St. Anton. The organiser, the tourist board of St. Anton am Arlberg, reports that the 2027 race is already fully booked, so registration is closed.

The course is 150 km with 2,500 m of climbing. It leaves St. Anton over the Arlberg Pass into the Klostertal, continues through Bludenz and the Montafon, and climbs high into the mountains before returning through the Paznaun and Stanzertal valleys to St. Anton. Food stations stand at Gortipohl at 60 km, Ganiferalm at 76 km, Kopsstausee at 79 km, Pians at 120 km and St. Anton at 142 km. The finish closes at 16.00.

The Arlberg Giro suits ambitious amateur road cyclists with a good base, who like long pass climbs and fast descents. The race weekend starts on Friday 30 July with the St. Anton night sprint through the pedestrian zone, and on Saturday evening an international criterium follows.

On race day the start is in the pedestrian zone and the finish in the village centre of St. Anton. Local restaurants serve regional food from 11.00, and once the finish has closed the prize giving takes place in front of the tourist board.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Arlberg Giro.
