Wild Gravel 30 km Ride

The organiser describes it as having enough climbing and gravel to feel adventurous, which makes it the step between the 10 km family ride and the longer courses. Two and a half hours for 30 km leaves room for stops and for riders new to loose surfaces. The organiser does not publish elevation, pitstop locations or a route line for this ride on its route page, so we do not either.

Everything is run from the Event Village, a gravel pit on Stirling Range Drive in the Shire of Gnowangerup, about 7 km off Chester Pass Road. The village opens at 6:00 am and has stalls, St John Ambulance on course and only a small amount of drinking water. Rider packs are collected in Albany on Wednesday 21 October or Gnowangerup on Friday 23 October.
