Twice up Wicket Hill

A Sunday of gravel from Seymour Racecourse into the farmland and the Strathbogie Ranges, where the longest course climbs the same hill twice.

Gravelista is ridden on Sunday 25 October 2026, with start and finish at Seymour Racecourse in Victoria. The courses are named 135, 95 and 50 km, but the organiser publishes the actual distances: 143.9 km with about 1,820 m of climbing, 101.4 km with about 1,204 m, and 58.8 km with about 547 m. Gravel makes up 82, 76 and 61 per cent of them. The 135 and 95 km are the UCI Gravel World Series event, a qualifier for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships, with the top quarter of each UCI age category qualifying.

The long course is built from a flat, paved 2.5 km start and then two 43 km loops into the hills, which is why it meets the Wicket Hill Climb twice, at 33 and 77 km: a kilometre at an average of 11 per cent, gaining 125 m. The 95 km rides one loop and returns to Seymour at 71.9 km, and the 50 km is an out-and-back along Hughes Creek. Feed stations at Wicket Hill Road and Upton Road serve every course, with sports nutrition, fruit, bakery goods and water.

A loop course brings riders back past the same feed stations, which is useful for anyone waiting with a bottle and hard to time from a racecourse car park.
