Maraton Warszawski, live.

Warsaw's September marathon, run since 1979

Maraton Warszawski is the September road marathon of Warsaw, run every year since 1979 and held on the last Sunday of the month.

The 49th Warsaw Marathon is on Sunday 26 September 2027. The race has been held without a break since 1979. In 2026 the 48th edition earned a World Athletics Elite Label for the first time, and Warsaw hosted the first medal presentation of the European Marathon Classics.

In 2026 the start was at 9:00 on ul. Świętokrzyska near the Palace of Culture and Science. The course is certified by the Polish Athletics Association and World Athletics and is mostly flat, with about 84 m of total gain. It passes the palm on Rondo de Gaulle and the National Museum, crosses the Vistula on Poniatowski Bridge to PGE Narodowy, Skaryszewski Park and the zoo, comes back over Gdański Bridge through Żoliborz and Bielany and finishes through Krakowskie Przedmieście and Nowy Świat. The organiser has not yet published the 2027 course or start time.

The same weekend has Warszawska Dycha, a 10 km run almost alongside the marathon, and the Mini Maraton for children over 100 to 1200 m. Places with the #BiegamDobrze charity let people run for a cause.

The flat course suits a first marathon and a time goal alike. Spectators can see the field on both banks of the Vistula and again on Krakowskie Przedmieście and Nowy Świat near the end.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Warsaw Marathon.
