Vancouver Sun Run, live.

Canada's largest 10K, from the West End to BC Place

The 43rd Vancouver Sun Run takes over downtown Vancouver on Sunday 18 April 2027.

The organiser calls the Vancouver Sun Run Canada's largest 10K road race, and it has been run for four decades. The 2027 edition is the 43rd, with an individual 10K, team divisions, a youth team challenge and the 2.5K Mini Sun Run.

The 10K starts at 9:00 a.m. at Burrard and Georgia, with competitive wheelchairs away at 8:50 a.m. The course heads north to Denman Street, through the West End to the English Bay waterfront, then east along Beach and Pacific. It crosses the Burrard Street Bridge, runs along South False Creek and through Mount Pleasant, passes Science World and finishes outside BC Place Stadium.

Runners, joggers, walkers and wheelchair users are all welcome. Everyone starts in zones by estimated finish time, from seeded athletes to the walking division for anyone over 1 hour 45 minutes, and the organiser warns that the field has over 40,000 entrants. Race packages are collected at the Sun Run Expo at Vancouver Convention Centre East on 16 and 17 April.

After the finish, participants and their families can go into BC Place for the wrap party with live entertainment and the awards ceremony. Spectators will find live entertainment along the route as well.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
