MCC
From 506 metres in the Rhône valley the course climbs to the Col de la Forclaz at 8 km, then to the Col de Balme at 17 km and 2,202 metres, the highest point of the race and the crossing back into France. The descent runs through Le Tour, Argentière, Le Lavancher and Les Bois to the Chamonix finish. With 2,300 metres of ascent it is the shortest of the point-to-point races, and the only one whose entry is reserved for residents of the valleys and the volunteers who staff the rest of the week.
This page covers the 2026 MCC alone. Its gun time, start village and elevation figures stay with this edition, so a later change of route does not rewrite what happened this year. A broadcast attached to the race shares the same stored course, with the runner’s position and the remaining passage points shown on it.
