Sweden’s biggest ultramarathon follows the iconic winter ski track on foot through the Dalarna forests. The race begins at dawn as mist hangs over the Startbacken climb, leading onto the peat bogs toward Smågan and Mångsbodarna. The 92-kilometre trail winds over forest tracks, gravel paths and pine-needle singletrack through Risberg and up to the high point at Evertsberg, before descending past Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris.

The final stretch carries runners through the historic town of Mora to cross beneath the legendary motto "I fäders spår för framtids segrar" at the finish portal.
