Stockholm Santa Run, live.

A red crowd through Gamla Stan, for charity

Stockholm Santa Run is a charity run where every participant dresses as Santa and runs, jogs or walks through the old heart of Stockholm on Sunday 6 December 2026.

The race is run by the volunteer association Together We Make A Change, and every krona it raises goes to charity. This year the money goes to Aktivisfonden and Hugos Stiftelse, which support children and young people with disabilities. The run began in Tantolunden in 2013 and has since grown about ten times larger. Each year between 1500 and 1800 people have taken part since it moved to Kungsträdgården.

The course is a loop of 3 km through Gamla Stan and Slussen, the route the race has used since 2025. You choose one lap or two, so 3 km or 6 km. Start and finish are by the big stage in Kungsträdgården, where everyone gathers at 11:00 and the start follows shortly after. There is no timing, so nobody is chasing a result. Expect cobblestones in Gamla Stan if you push a wheelchair or a pram, and both are welcome at no extra cost.

Start kits and Santa suits are collected at Jussipaviljongen in Kungsträdgården on 5 December between 09:00 and 15:00, or on race morning between 09:00 and 10:30. There is no bag storage and nowhere to change, so come dressed to run. All ages may take part, and children under 14 need a guardian. Dogs are welcome too, and supporters are asked to stay off the course.
