Ultra Trail Vipava Valley I Feel Slovenia is a spring trail running weekend based in Ajdovščina in the Vipava Valley of western Slovenia.

Ultra Trail Vipava Valley 2027 runs from 23 to 25 April 2027, with registration open. In 2026 the 11th edition welcomed more than 2,600 runners, hikers and trail lovers from 60 countries. The valley is where the Battle of the Frigidus was fought in 394, which explains the Roman names of the distances.

The Emperor is 165 km with about 6,400 m of climbing and a time limit of 46 hours. It starts in the centre of Ajdovščina, climbs to the top of Nanos at 1,262 m, passes Vipava, Kovk and Vitovlje, crosses Sveta Gora and loops into Gorizia in Italy before coming back over the Branik Castle and the Preserje to Planina ridge to finish in Ajdovščina. There are 13 aid stations with time limits at Vipava, Cerje and Branik.

The other distances suit every level. The Centurion is 100 km with 4,300 m of climbing and 30 hours, the Gladiator 59 km with 2,400 m and 16 hours, and the Legionar 30 km with 1,600 m. The Asterix of 15 km, the Castra City Run of 10 km, a kids run and the Obelix Hike and Wine walk make it a weekend for families too.

From October 2026 to March 2027 the organiser holds seven training runs on the Vipava Valley trails. Each Emperor runner must carry a charged phone, two headlamps and a waterproof jacket, since the organiser warns of cold, heavy rain and strong bora wind.
