Trail running in Torres del Paine

Ultra Paine is a trail running event in the Torres del Paine commune of Chilean Patagonia, held since 2014 and organised by Racing Patagonia.

The 13th edition is on Saturday 25 September 2027. Ultra Paine was the first trail race in the park when it began in 2014. Puerto Natales is the base town for travel, and every distance finishes at Villa Río Serrano.

There are four races. The 50K measures 51.5 kilometres, starts at 08:30 and has an 11 hour limit. The 14K measures 14.2 kilometres and starts at 09:30 with 5 hours. The 21K measures 21.5 kilometres and starts at 11:00 with 7 hours, and the 35K measures 35.8 kilometres and starts at 11:30 with 8 hours.

The 14K and 21K are reachable for people with some trail experience who want to see the park on foot. The 35K and 50K suit those used to long days on trails.

Because all four races share the finish at Villa Río Serrano, friends and family can wait in one place and see every distance come in. Check the organiser's information for transport from Puerto Natales on race day.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live when that person chooses to share their own position from the phone they carry during the race. The dot on the map comes from the participant's phone, not from the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
