Eighty-one and a half kilometres with 4,314 metres of ascent, taking the back half of the Classic route: up out of Teror into the pine forest, across the volcanic centre of the island past Roque Nublo, and down the long barrancos to the Parque Sur at Maspalomas. Starting in daylight means this race runs almost all of its climbing in the heat, which is the trade it makes for being shorter.

It is the distance most runners step up to before attempting the Classic, and it fills first every year. This page belongs to the 2026 edition, with that year’s gun, course and aid stations.
