Mud, sand and sea at Ribersborg

Toughest Malmö is the obstacle race at Ribersborg in Malmö, with the main race on Saturday 22 May 2027 and the Xplore and Family courses on Sunday 23 May.

Malmö is where Toughest began in 2013, and the series has since been named Best European Race by Mud Run Guide every year from 2015 to 2019. The organisers call Malmö their most popular race, and its flat, fast course of mud, water and sand draws thousands of participants every year.

The main race is about 8 km with full size obstacles, and the exact length can vary a little with the local layout. Stronger athletes can add Double Distance, two laps of the main course for about 16 km. On Sunday, Xplore covers 4 km at an easy to medium level, and Family is a 2 km course with obstacles scaled for the youngest participants. Every obstacle is optional, and water obstacles can be skipped too.

The event starts around 10:00, and start kits can be collected from 09:00. Your bib number and start time arrive by email four to five days before race day. Pick up your kit at least 30 to 60 minutes before your start, and bring valid ID.

Ribersborg is easy to reach by public transport from Malmö Central Station, and the organisers point drivers to parking at T-bryggan on Limhamnsvägen. Spectators can come the same way, and public transport is the easier choice on a busy race day.

On Livebib, a participant can choose to share their own live position from the phone they carry, so friends can follow along on the map. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Toughest.
