Clay and hills from Kviberg Park

Toughest Göteborg runs from the open fields of Kviberg Park out into hills and wild nature, with the main race on Saturday 18 September 2027 and the Xplore and Family courses on Sunday 19 September.

The Göteborg course is known for its mud. It starts on the fast fields at Kviberg Park before turning into clay, forest and hills, and the layout changes a little every year. The series has been named Best European Race by Mud Run Guide every year from 2015 to 2019 and Best International Race Eastern by OCR Buddy in 2022 and 2023.

The main race is about 8 km with full size obstacles, fast lanes on selected obstacles and short penalty loops if you skip one. Double Distance is two laps for about 16 km, comes with its own vest and qualifies for the OCR World Championships. Xplore covers 4 km and Family 2 km on Sunday. Every obstacle is optional and walking is allowed.

The event starts around 10:00 and start kits are available from 09:30. Your bib number and start time are emailed four to five days before race day. There is a water station roughly halfway round the main course and another after the finish, so bring your own bottle if you want more.

Take tram 6, 7 or 11 to Kviberg and follow the footpath towards pitches 24 and 25. Parking near Kviberg Arena is limited, so public transport is the easier choice for spectators too.

On Livebib, a participant can choose to share their own live position from the phone they carry, so friends can follow along on the map. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Toughest.
