Tampere Juoksee, live.

From Keskustori to Ratina, in three waves

A city road race through central Tampere that has doubled in size in two years, starting on the market square and finishing at Ratina stadium.

Tampere Juoksee was run on Saturday 3 October 2026, with the start on Keskustori in the centre of Tampere and the finish at Ratina stadium, where the bag storage and dressing rooms are. The organiser, Event Consulting Turku, calls it the largest running event in Tampere. The children’s Minimaraton went at 12:00, the 5 km at 12:35, and the 10 km and half marathon together at 13:00. The half marathon is part of the Finnish Halfs series.

Growth shaped the 2026 edition. The organiser writes that participation had doubled in two years, with nearly a thousand more runners than the year before, and the start was split into three groups. Because the distances share streets in the city centre, the organiser plans the routes and start groups together, and it labels them preliminary since road works in Tampere can change them. The next edition is announced for 9 October 2027.

Spectators are welcome along the course, but following runners by car or bike is not allowed. That is what a Livebib link is for. The runner shares the link to their own broadcast; family open it in a browser, with no account and no app, and see the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Everything estimated is marked as estimated, and the runner decides who gets the link.
