It is two races joined into one loop. The first part ran from Le Bouveret to Brig in stages, with base camps such as Ovronnaz, Anzère, Guttet and Brig serving a hot evening meal, breakfast and a packed lunch, plus two daytime refuels from a mobile team. From Brig the runners turned back west on the Legend course, with 32 refuelling points on the way, six of them support stations with drop bags, and the finish in Le Bouveret.

The organiser put the duration at nine to twelve days and capped the field at 100 athletes, selected on their record: a SwissPeaks 360 finish and/or a race of around 300 km. The course carries six ITRA points and is described as very alpine and technical, demanding real mountain skills, with 43,800 m of descent to match the climbing. Nine days or more is a long time for a family to watch a dot. On Livebib the runner shares one link that works for the whole journey: it opens in a browser, with no account and no app, and shows the position on the course line, the kilometres covered and a finish estimate that moves with the pace. Over the passes where the phone finds no network, the position is carried forward along the route and marked as estimated, never shown as measured.
