Four trail loops from Prau la Selva in Flims

Swissalpine is a trail running weekend in Flims Laax, with four loops that start and finish at Prau la Selva.

Swissalpine takes place on 17 and 18 July 2027 in Flims Laax in Graubünden. Every course starts and finishes at Prau la Selva in Flims, and the weekend has four trail runs, two hikes and a kids run. Registration for 2027 runs through Datasport.

The K78 is the long one: 78.4 km and about 4,541 m of climbing, starting at 05:00 on Saturday 17 July with a 20 hour limit and the finish closing at 01:00 on Sunday. It passes the Caumasee, the Rhine Gorge Ruinaulta, Trin, Alp Mora, Bargis, the Flimserstein, Cassons, Nagens, Crap Masegn and Plaun, with the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch of the Sardona UNESCO World Heritage area in view. The K42 is 42.1 km with 2,609 m, starting at 09:30 and closing at 21:00.

The K23 covers 23.2 km and 923 m via the Caumasee, the Rhine Gorge and Conn, starting at 10:30 with 7.5 hours to finish. The K12 is 12.5 km with 421 m through the Flimserwald, past Conn and the Caumasee. The hikes H23 and H12 use the same two shorter routes.

The organiser presents the K12 as ideal for newcomers who want a real highlight over a shorter distance, and the K23 as an unforgettable experience in nature whether it is your first time or you already have experience. On the K78, forest roads lead from the very first kilometres toward the Ruinaulta, which the organiser calls the Swiss Grand Canyon.
