SwimRun Rheinsberg, live.

Germany's big swimrun by the lakes

SwimRun Rheinsberg is a swimrun race in Rheinsberg, north of Berlin, on 4 July 2027, starting and finishing near the Seehotel Rheinsberg.

Swimrun means running on trails and swimming across open water in turns, without changing kit, so participants run in wetsuits and swim in shoes. The organiser calls Rheinsberg the biggest swimrun in Germany, held every year since 2016 in the Stechlin-Ruppin nature park.

The Half SwimRun is 21.4 km with 3.5 km of swimming and 263 m of climbing, for experienced swimrunners aged 18 and over. The Sprint is 11.3 km with 2 km of swimming, the longest swim 600 m, and 129 m of climbing, from age 16. The SuperSprint is 4.4 km with three swims totalling 1 km and starts in the water at Warenthin, reached by ferry from Rheinsberg. It is untimed and made for beginners. Kids and youth races use 200 m swim laps.

All distances can be raced alone or as a team of two. The timed races use an active transponder. Wetsuits are allowed whatever the water temperature, and the swim cap with your number is compulsory on every swim.

Rheinsberg is 75 to 90 km from Berlin by road, and the station is about 15 minutes on foot from the start area. The race is part of the SwimRun Deutschland Cup and the mySwimRun Championships.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry on course. That dot on the map is the person's own sharing, not the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
