City triathlon in the Royal National City Park

STHLM Triathlon is a triathlon on Norra Djurgården in Stockholm on Sunday 8 August 2027, with the swim in Lilla Värtan and the finish at Stora Skuggan.

The race is organised by Väsby SS Triathlon together with WolffWear, and offers competition classes, open classes and Tri4Fun for children and young people. Väsby SS Triathlon has long experience of running multisport races, including many years of Arlandastad Duathlon.

The swim starts with a beach start at Lappis beach in Lilla Värtan, a sandy cove with a view towards Tranholmen and Stocksund. T1 is at Lektorsstigen. The bike course is a 5 km lap around Laduviken, past Husarviken, Lill-Jansskogen and Stockholm University, and T2 and the finish sit on the lawns in front of Kungliga Djurgårdsförvaltningen at Stora Skuggan. The run is mostly on gravel with some asphalt in the nature area of Norra Djurgården.

The sprint is 750 m, 21 km (4 laps) and 5 km, with drafting in the competition classes and non-drafting in the open class. Supersprint for ages 14 to 15 is 350 m, 11.5 km and 2.5 km. The open standard distance, formerly called Olympic, is 1500 m in two laps with an Aussie exit, 40 km over 8 laps and 10 km. All courses are preliminary until a week before the race.

For spectators, the looped courses mean athletes pass many times. There is no parking at Stora Skuggan, so use the parking at Stockholm University or along Bergiusvägen, and the organisers ask everyone to share cars.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry during the race. That is the athlete's own sharing and not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
