A Trifecta weekend near Vienna

Spartan St. Pölten is an obstacle race weekend in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, about 60 minutes from Vienna, from 18 to 20 June 2027.

Saturday 19 June is the Beast, 21 km with 30 obstacles, starting at the Rathausplatz and running out to Völtendorf. Sunday 20 June is the Super, 10 km with 25 obstacles, and the Sprint, 5 km with 20 obstacles, runs on both days. Friday 18 June has the kids race and the start of the Hurricane Heat programme, which includes 24, 12 and 4 hour versions.

The course is a hybrid of urban streets and trail. The organiser calls the Sprint the community event where the focus is on fun, and the Super the fast option for those confident over 10 km.

Finishing all three in the weekend earns the new St. Pölten Trifecta Hexes, which piece the weekend together into one overall achievement, a place in the Spartan Lifetime Trifecta Ranking and qualification for the Trifecta World Championship in Sparta, Greece, in Elite, Age Group or Open.

Spartan's free Workout Tour sessions offer a 90 minute introduction for beginners. The Beast starts at the Rathausplatz in the town centre.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry on the course. That dot is the person's own sharing, not the organiser's timing, and the official results are published by the organiser.
