Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri, live.

Mountain trail races around Yr Wyddfa from Llanberis

Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri brings four trail races to Llanberis on 10 and 11 July 2027, from a 10K to an ultra around Yr Wyddfa.

Always Aim High Events describes it as one of the UK's most iconic mountain running events. Every route begins and finishes in Llanberis, and the routes pass through Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant and Pen y Pass, with some distances on the slopes of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The Ultra and the Marathon are ITRA and UTMB indexed, and the 2027 courses are revised.

The Marathon is approximately 44km. It climbs the Llanberis Path of Yr Wyddfa, descends the PYG Track into Nant Gwynant and heads to Beddgelert, then round the western side of the massif to Rhyd Ddu and back to Llanberis. It usually starts at 06:00am. The Ultra is approximately 56km with around 2,300m of ascent, climbing close to 1,000m on Yr Wyddfa early and entering Dinorwig Quarry at around 47km, part of the Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales UNESCO World Heritage Site. It usually starts at 05:00.

The Trail Half Marathon Eryri is approximately 21km with around 1,250m of climbing, going high on Yr Wyddfa above Clogwyn Du'r Arddu before the long run back, and usually starts at 07:00. These three run on Sunday 11 July. The Trail 10K Eryri runs on Saturday 10 July, 9.8 km with around 400m of ascent, finishing through Dinorwig Quarry from around 6.5km, and usually starts at 8:00.

The 10K is accessible enough for a first taste of mountain running, while the Ultra is a full day for experienced runners. Children can run the 500m Dolbadarn Dash on the event field for a suggested donation to the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team. Confirmed start times come in the final instructions 10 days before.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live when they choose to share their own position from the phone they carry. That position comes from the runner, not from the organiser's timing, and official results are published by the organiser.
