Skagen 5 km
The organiser pitches the 5 km at beginners. It stays close to the water and the town: through the harbour area, along Østre Strandvej and Vestre Strandvej, and through many of the small roads in the centre of Skagen, before finishing at Fiskehuskajen with everyone else. Like the 10 km, it starts this year from Vestre Strandvej by the harbour master’s house rather than from the quay. Traffic in town is partly closed during the run.
By 14:00 the marathon has been running for four hours, and the prize givings run from 14:20, so the 5 km finishes into the busiest hour on the quay. Prize giving for the 5 km is at 15:15. No time limit is published.
