The Swedish middle distance title, decided in Sala

Sala Silverman is a middle distance and sprint triathlon at Långforsbadet by Måns Ols in Sala on Saturday 28 August 2027, held for the 23rd time.

The race is organised by IFK Sala, and in 2027 it again hosts the Swedish championship (SM/RM) in middle distance, with the sprint and the Para SM on the same day. Competition, junior, open and relay classes are offered on both distances.

The middle distance is 1950 m of swimming in two laps of Långforsen, 87 km on a three-lap bike course of 29 km per lap, and a half marathon of 21 km on a four-lap run course with 5.2 km per lap. The sprint is 750 m in the water, 24 km on the bike and 5 km of running over two laps. The preliminary start is 08:30 for the middle distance and 14:30 for the sprint.

Lap courses on all three legs make this a good race for athletes who like to know the course and for those chasing a championship result. The entry for the middle distance includes a salad from the Måns Ols restaurant, collected at the finish. The last day to enter is 14 August, with no late entries.

Watching is free. Cheer along the run and bike courses, and follow the swim from the jetties. Parking is in the field by Skuggan about 500 m north of the race centre, since Måns Ols-vägen is closed to through traffic on race day. A grill and kiosk are open during the race.
