Rya Åsar Trail Run 24 km

The 24 km is one lap. It starts like the 12 km, with Djävulsbacken after about three kilometres — 300 metres long and around 75 metres of climbing — and then carries on along the trails around Hestrastugan, past Måndalen and back to Rya Åsar for the same finish as the 12 km. The organiser’s summary is more trail, more views and more lakes, and gives about 685 metres of ascent for the distance. It is the distance that counts in the Outnorth Trailtour.

There are four aid stations with water and citrus sports drink: Rya Klint after about 4 km, Fjällsjön at 8 km, Hestrastugan at 15.5 km and Björbotoppen at 20 km. The organiser recommends bringing your own energy on this distance, along with trail shoes, a phone and an elastic bandage. Prize-giving for the 24 km is at about 13:25 on the plateau.
