Ninety per cent gravel, and you navigate it yourself

A gravel ride out of Rom, just outside Lemvig, into the forest roads of Klosterheden — with a GPX file instead of arrows.

Lemvig Cykel Klub runs Rom-Paris-Rom Gravel on Saturday 3 October 2026, from the start and finish area at Heta A/S, Jupitervej 22, in Rom outside Lemvig. Three distances leave fifteen minutes apart: 115 km at 10:00, 75 km at 10:15 and 52 km at 10:30, each with a short briefing five minutes before. The area opens at 09:00, the first riders on the 52 km are expected back around 12:15, and the finish closes at 16:00. Entries in 2025 were 192.

The routes run in and around Klosterheden plantation. The club gives the gravel share per distance — 75 % on the 115 km, 90 % on the 75 km and on the 52 km — and says, with its own “maybe”, that this may be the highest gravel percentage in Denmark. The lines are similar to earlier years with new details, and the GPX is released about three days before the start. Riders navigate themselves: signs stand only at critical points, traffic marshals cover the start only, and on the few asphalt sections the Danish road traffic act applies. Every route has depots, and soup waits at the finish.

Self-navigation in a plantation is exactly where a Livebib link earns its place. The rider shares their own broadcast; family open it in a browser, with no account and no app, and see the position on the course line, the distance covered and a finish estimate for Jupitervej that updates as the ride goes.
