Red rock on Saturday, the Rocher de Roquebrune on Sunday

Roc d’Azur is best known as a mountain-bike week, but its last weekend also belongs to runners: five trail races over two days and two different massifs, during the 42nd edition from 7 to 11 October 2026.

Saturday 10 October is Estérel day. Roc Trail Estérel 50K (51 km, 1 365 m of climbing, start 08:00) and Estérel 30K (29.9 km, 800 m, start 09:00) both start and finish at Village Cap Estérel in Agay, Saint-Raphaël. The organiser describes the southernmost part of the Estérel: red rock, a mix of paths and single track, and views over the Baie de Cannes and the Golfe de Fréjus. Parking at Cap Estérel is paid and very limited; the organiser suggests carpooling or cycling the 12 km from the Base Nature.

Sunday 11 October moves to Place Perrin in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, in the Massif des Maures. The 42K (42.1 km, 1 270 m, 08:30) circles the Rocher de Roquebrune and is the only race rated 5/5 for technical difficulty. The 25K (24.8 km, 780 m, 08:00) and 14K (14.6 km, 400 m, 08:20) are shorter ways into the same hills. Runners gather 45 minutes before their start at the Parking des Artichauts and are walked to the line in groups. Like every Roc d’Azur course, these cross private land by special permission, and reconnaissance runs are not allowed.

On Livebib a runner shares a link to their own broadcast. Family and friends open it in a browser, with no account or app, and see the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate that updates as the race goes. Where the phone loses signal among the rocks, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated instead of freezing. The runner decides who gets the link.
