Ottawa Race Weekend, live.

Canada's capital on foot, from Ottawa City Hall

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend fills the capital on 29 and 30 May 2027 with five races from Ottawa City Hall and a kids marathon.

Run Ottawa organises the weekend, and the Tamarack Ottawa International Marathon has been one of Canada's most celebrated marathons for over 50 years. It is a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race, a certified course and a Boston Marathon qualifier. Registration for 2027 is open.

The marathon starts at 7:00 on Sunday 30 May at Ottawa City Hall, and the Ottawa Half Marathon starts from City Hall the same morning. The marathon route weaves through the nation's capital. Participants should reach the 27 km mark near the Pretoria Bridge by 11:30 and finish within seven hours. Both races come with a finisher medal that spins.

Saturday 29 May brings the Ottawa 10K at 6:00 pm, with hand cyclists at 5:40 pm and elite women at 5:45 pm. The flat, fast course runs from City Hall along the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, past the tulips of Dow's Lake and back. It hosts the 2027 Canadian 10K Championships, and the organisers call it the fastest 10K course in Canada. The Ottawa 5K at 4:00 pm passes the Parliament buildings, the Chateau Laurier and the canal, and the Ottawa 2K at 3:00 pm runs down Elgin Street and back along the canal.

The 10K ends with an exciting finish in front of thousands of cheering spectators, and the organiser calls the half marathon the weekend's most popular and fastest sell out event, with an unbeatable atmosphere of enthusiastic spectators and volunteers.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from Run Ottawa.
