Nyårsloppet 5 km

Nyårsloppet 5 km

The 5 km goes first, an hour before the 10 km and 40 minutes before the youth race. It has a competition class and a motion class for women and men; in the competition class the leaders receive prizes, and in the motion class prizes are drawn at the finish. The course follows asphalt park paths and roads, with its own course map from the organiser, and the winter surface can make studded shoes the right choice.

The adult fee is 300 SEK up to 1 December, 350 SEK until 20 December and 450 SEK after that. Online entry is open right up to the start, bibs are collected on race day, and changing rooms and showers are at the race centre. Every finisher gets a medal, and simple refreshments are served for runners and spectators. This page covers Nyårsloppet 5 km 2026.

The 5 km suits anyone running alongside a family member who takes on the 10 km afterwards, and then it helps to know where each of them is. With Livebib, the runner shares a link to their own broadcast; those waiting open it in a browser with no account and no app and see the position on the course line, the distance so far and a finish estimate that updates during the race. If the phone loses signal, the position is carried forward and marked as estimated. The runner decides who gets the link.
