Up and down Iso-Syöte at midsummer

NUTS Syöte is a two day trail running event at the foot of Iso-Syöte in Syöte National Park, with three distances that all return to LumiAreena.

NUTS Syöte is held in Syöte National Park in northern Finland. The 2027 edition is on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 June, and registration opens on 24 November 2026. Start and finish for every distance are at the base of Iso-Syöte, around LumiAreena.

Friday brings the 10 km, a snappy loop that climbs Iso-Syöte and then returns to the finish, and the NUTS Kids and Juniors races for young runners of all ages and levels. On Saturday the 25 km and the 40 km go out into the national park. The 25 km ends with an ascent of Iso-Syöte and a descent to the finish, while the 40 km also includes a summit of Iso-Syöte.

The organiser has not yet published the 2027 timetable and Event Guide, so start times are still to come.

The organiser describes NUTS Syöte as a diverse, beginner friendly trail running experience for runners of all ages and skill levels, with climbs, technical sections and the challenges of the fell slopes. The 40 km takes in the best trails of the national park and ends with a fast descent to the finish.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. You see where that person is on the course right now, which helps friends and family know when to be at the roadside or the finish. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from NUTS Syöte.
