Over the fells of Pyhä-Luosto

NUTS Pyhä is a one day trail running event in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, with three distances that start and finish at Pyhä.

NUTS Pyhä is held in Pyhä-Luosto National Park in Finnish Lapland. The next edition is on Saturday 14 August 2027, and registration opens on 24 November 2026. The event has run under the NUTS name since 2020, and before that the same fells hosted the Pyhä Tunturimaraton from 2015 to 2019.

The 43 km is the longest route. It crosses Noitatunturi and Laakakero to Kapusta in Luosto and returns over Kultakero. The 21 km takes in Noitatunturi, Peurakero and Laakakero and ends with a summit of Kultakero. The 10 km passes the landscapes of Aittakuru and the pond at Karhunjuomalampi, climbs Kultakero and returns to the event centre.

The longer routes are partially self-supported. Aid stations stand at Karhunjuomalampi and Huttuloma, with Latvavaara on the 43 km as well, and participants carry their own food and drink between them. Outside support is allowed only at the official aid stations. The organiser describes the routes as technical trails, challenging climbs and stunning scenery among rugged fells and ancient forests.

All three distances start and finish at Pyhä, and the organiser publishes separate instructions for supporters.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. You see where that person is on the course right now, which helps friends and family know when to be at the roadside or the finish. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from NUTS Pyhä.
