Farnham to Ashford across the North Downs

The North Downs Way 100 is a point-to-point trail race of 103 miles along the North Downs Way from Farnham in Surrey to Ashford in Kent.

Centurion Running's North Downs Way 100 starts at 07:00 on Saturday 7 August 2027 from the trail head of the North Downs Way in Farnham, with race HQ at Farnham Leisure Centre. Runners have 30 hours to reach the finish at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford. It is a Western States qualifier and takes up to 250 starters.

The course is 103 miles (167 km) with about 3,350 m of climb, roughly 80% trail and 20% road. It passes Puttenham and Guildford, crosses Ranmore Common and takes on the steepest climb of the race up Box Hill, then climbs again to Reigate Hill and runs on through Merstham and Oxted to Knockholt Pound, the 50 mile point on the edge of Greater London. After Wrotham and Holly Hill it crosses the Medway Bridge, and the final 25 miles visit Detling, Hollingbourne, Harrietsham and Charing before dropping into Ashford.

To start, runners need a 50 mile race finished within 15 hours since 1 January 2021. There are cut-offs at every checkpoint, hot drinks from Knockholt onwards, and hot food at Knockholt, Detling and the finish. Finishers under 24 hours receive a one-day buckle.

Entries are open until 30 July 2027 or until the race is full. The course records are 15:18:41 and 18:13:58.
