The middle MTB distance shares the start and the way out with the longer route: from the centre of Hillerød through Stenholt Vang and into Nationalpark Kongernes Nordsjælland, on forest gravel roads and singletrack. The organiser builds all its routes for marathon distance, with wide gravel paths between the trail sections, and lists 600 metres of climbing for the 57 km, about the same per kilometre as the 103 km. An E-MTB class rides the same distance.

It is the route for a rider who wants a real marathon day in the forest without the full hundred kilometres, or for a first season of marathon racing. The start time was published as provisional and confirmed to riders a few days before the race; GPX and Garmin Connect files are on the organiser’s routes page.
