MK Marathon, live.

A marathon that finishes inside a stadium

The MK Marathon and MK Half Marathon run through the parks, lakes and redways of Milton Keynes and finish inside Stadium MK.

The MK Marathon Weekend is on 2 and 3 May 2027 in Milton Keynes. The Rocket 5K is on Sunday 2 May, and the marathon, half marathon, marathon relay and fun run are on Bank Holiday Monday 3 May. Both the marathon and the half marathon start at 09:00, with Stadium MK as the venue.

The marathon is 26.2 miles on a fast, scenic route through the green spaces of Milton Keynes, past lakes and parks and along tree-lined boulevards, and traffic-free in long sections. It ends with a full lap of the pitch inside Stadium MK. The half marathon runs past tree-lined boulevards, picturesque villages and lakes, with long uninterrupted sections through parks and along the redways, and also finishes at the stadium.

Both courses carry a UK Athletics certificate of course accuracy. The marathon has a 6.5 hour time limit and the half marathon 3.5 hours. The flat and flowing course suits first marathons and personal best attempts alike, and the 2027 marathon is a qualifier for the England Masters marathon team.

The organiser publishes a guide for supporters with tips on the best places to watch, and the stadium finish comes to the roar of the crowd.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live when they choose to share the position of the phone they carry. That is their own position, not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
