Along the line of the Berlin Wall, a little over 161 km

The 100MeilenBerlin Mauerweglauf follows the former course of the Berlin Wall around West Berlin, a little over 161 km, on 14 and 15 August 2027.

The run has been held every summer since 2011. Start and finish are at the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark at Cantianstraße 24. In 2027 the course runs clockwise.

Solo participants start at 06:00 on Saturday and have 30 hours to finish. Relays start later: teams of two at 07:00, teams of four at 07:30 and teams of five or more at 08:00. There are three exchange points, in Teltow, Sacrow and Hennigsdorf, and 26 aid stations between 5 and 9 km apart.

The route follows the official Mauerweg almost all the way, the former patrol path of the East German border troops around West Berlin. It is fully marked with chalk spray, signs and tape, with reflective arrows at night, and the organiser publishes the GPS file about a month before the race. The solo run is for experienced ultra runners. The relays let clubs and groups of friends share the distance and still see the whole line of the Wall.

More than 400 volunteers make the event possible, and the patron is Rainer Eppelmann. Drop bags with spare clothes, night gear and food can be left before the start for the three exchange points.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Mauerweglauf.
