Beaujolais Trail 43 km

Sunday’s longest race has 1,300 metres of climbing, more than six times the 15 km course. The line runs through Dénicé, Montmelas, Chapelle de Saint-Bonnet, Saint-Cyr-le-Châtoux, Rivolet and Lacenas — six villages, against three on the 24 km and two on the 15 km.

The organiser has not yet published the detailed 2026 line and profile, nor the aid stations or time limits. A seven o’clock start on a November morning means the first hour may be at dawn. The distance suits runners who have done a trail marathon and want the weekend’s hills; anyone who ran the road marathon on Saturday may prefer a shorter trail.

A trail race of over 40 km through hilly woodland has long stretches where nobody is watching. With the runner’s Livebib link family see the position on the line, the distance and an estimated finish that keeps updating. If the phone loses signal in a valley, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated rather than freezing. The runner decides who gets the link.
