The kids’ race is open to children aged twelve and under, in two groups. Children aged 0 to 6 run 1 kilometre with a parent or guardian, and no prams or strollers are allowed; children aged 7 to 12 run 2 kilometres. The course is essentially flat, and the organiser’s point is the atmosphere: the same start and finish as the UTMB races, with crowds in the finish chute and a medal at the end.

The organiser’s page gives two different time limits, one hour 15 minutes in the key facts and one hour in the race details, so check the latest information before race day. Entry details were still marked as opening soon when this page was written.

This page covers the 2027 edition. A kids’ race is short enough to watch from the barrier, but for grandparents who are not in Taiping a parent can share a Livebib link: it opens in a browser, with no account and no app, and shows the position on the course line and the distance covered as the race goes. The parent decides who gets the link.
