Mainova Halbmarathon Frankfurt, live.

A flat 21.1 km with the German championships in the field

The 25th Mainova Halbmarathon Frankfurt on Sunday 21 March 2027 starts in front of the Deutsche Bank Park and finishes inside it, and hosts the German half marathon championships.

The German athletics federation stages its national half marathon championships within the race in 2027. The elite race and the championship start at 10:00, and the main field follows at 10:05. The course is 21.0975 km, all on roads, mostly flat and measured to AIMS rules, with every kilometre marked. The time limit is 2 hours 45 minutes.

Places are limited to 10,500 participants, with an extra quota for championship runners and company entries. Registration opened on 28 September 2026, and for the 2026 edition the race was full within 12 hours of opening. In March 2026 a record 10,553 people finished, and the course records stand at 1:02:36 for men and 1:10:39 for women, the latter set by Esther Pfeiffer in 2026.

That makes it a race for people who want a fast spring half marathon in a big field. Pacers cover finish times from 1:24:59 to the closing time. Race numbers are posted to participants from 15 February 2027, and the number doubles as a ticket on all RMV buses, trams and trains for the trip to and from the stadium. Water and drinks are served at kilometres 5, 10, 16 and 19.

The stadium area opens at 08:00 on race day and is reached by S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 to the Stadion station or by tram 21. Spectators can watch the start outside the stadium and then the finish inside. The race is organised by Spiridon Frankfurt e.V.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the organiser.
