MIUT Advanced 80 km
Eighty kilometres and 4,800 metres of ascent, joining the Legend route in the middle of the island and taking it the rest of the way. The course climbs out of São Vicente into the central massif, crosses Pico Ruivo and the ridge to Pico do Areeiro in daylight — which is either a gift or an exposure problem depending on the cloud — and drops through Portela to the Fórum Machico.
The 25-hour limit means most of the field finishes in the small hours of Sunday, on the same square and through the same crowd as the Legend.
