Vitality London 10,000, live.

A 10K that finishes outside Buckingham Palace

The Vitality London 10,000 is a 10 km road race through central London that starts on The Mall and finishes outside Buckingham Palace.

The 2027 edition is on Sunday 26 September 2027, organised by London Marathon Events. It first took place in 2008, when over 6,000 people crossed the finish line, and the organiser calls it the only 10K in the capital to finish outside Buckingham Palace.

The course is mostly flat with a few gentle rises. The first 2 km along The Mall rise slightly, the middle section has several turns, and around 6 km, by St Paul's Cathedral, comes the last real climb, apart from a short rise up Aldwych at about 7 km. Whitehall, at about 9 km, runs downhill towards the finish.

There is a two hour cut-off, and the organiser pitches it at people taking on their first 10K or stepping up from parkrun. Water is served at 5 km, with refill points at the start, the finish and 4 km, and toilets are at the start, the finish and at 3, 5 and 7 km. A free bag drop, timed results and event photography are included, and a finisher's T-shirt and medal are optional.

Friends and family can wait at the free Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park, which also has a sensory calm space, a parent and child space and a multi faith prayer space.

On Livebib you can follow a participant live when they choose to share the position of the phone they carry. That position comes from the participant's own phone and is not the organiser's timing, so official results and splits come from the organiser.
