Across the island chain to Svolvær

The Lofoten Ultra-Trail is the midnight sun week of The Arctic Triple, with five distances that all finish in Svolvær.

The Lofoten Ultra-Trail crosses the Lofoten island chain over mountain ridges, white beaches and grey cliffs. The 2027 edition runs from 1 to 6 June, in week 22 under the midnight sun, with the finish in Svolvær. It is one of three events in The Arctic Triple, alongside Lofoten Skimo in March and Lofoten Triathlon in August.

The 100 miles is 159.7 km with 6,300 m of climbing. It starts on Friday 4 June at 12:00 at Kirkefjorden, which participants reach by boat, and there are 10 service points on the way to Svolvær. The 50 miles is 87.3 km with 3,670 m of climbing and starts from Leknes on Saturday 5 June at 09:00.

The shorter races also start on Saturday 5 June. The 48 km, measured at 47.8 km with 2,620 m of climbing, leaves Torvdalshalsen at 13:00. The 24 km climbs 1,480 m from the Barstrand fishery on Gimsøy at 16:00. The 12 km, 11.5 km and 640 m of climbing, starts and finishes in Svolvær at 17:00 after a climb over Tjeldbergtinden. A 1 km kids race finishes in Svolvær the same evening.

Lofoten Ultra-Trail is a UTMB Index race, and every distance finishes on the square in Svolvær. Those who complete all three races of The Arctic Triple within 12 months earn a Gold, Silver or Bronze Triple jacket, and the colour depends on which Ultra-Trail distance they complete.

On Livebib you can follow a participant who chooses to share their own live position from the phone they carry. This is not the organiser's timing, and the official results come from the Lofoten Ultra-Trail.
