From the new stadium on the docks to the Pier Head

The Liverpool Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile road race from Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium to the Pier Head, held on Sunday 14 March 2027.

First staged in 1994, the race reaches its 34th staging on Sunday 14 March 2027. It sold out at 12,000 places in 2023 and 2024, a change to the start line added 3,000 places, and it sold out again at 15,000 in 2025.

The start is at 09:30 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Regent Road, Everton Football Club's ground on the Liverpool waterfront. The first four miles take in more of the city centre and its landmarks, including Liverpool Town Hall, the Chinese Arch and Liverpool Cathedral, before the route heads for the river and a finish at the Pier Head in front of the Three Graces and under the Liver Birds.

The course is accurate to 13.1 miles, there is a 3 hour cut-off, and entrants must be 17 or over. The organiser promises an electric atmosphere and incredible crowd support, with the Liverpool waterfront as the backdrop.

The Event Village is at the finish line, and the organiser publishes road closure information and an interactive road closure map ahead of race day. The organiser, BTR Liverpool, also runs the Liverpool 10K, the Mersey Tunnel 10K and other races through the year.
