Little Sugar MTB, live.

Bella Vista to Bentonville, the long way round

A point-to-point mountain bike race through the Ozark hollers north of Bentonville, where the start is a bike park in Bella Vista and the finish is an arts venue in downtown Bentonville.

Little Sugar MTB is ridden on Sunday 11 October 2026. All three courses start at OZ Trails Bike Park in Bella Vista and finish at The Momentary in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. The organiser describes the line as the hollers and ravines of Little Sugar and Back 40: bluff lines, caves, waterfalls and the Ledges, grinding climbs that alternate with fast rolling descents, and a final connection through Slaughter Pen with a view of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

There are three distances. The 100K measures 103 km (64 mi) with about 5,800 ft of climbing and is marked in black and pink; the 50K is 52 km (32.5 mi) with about 2,800 ft, marked blue; the 20K is 20.5 km (12.8 mi) with about 1,136 ft, marked green. The 100K is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB. Cutoffs are set on an average of 6 mph, there are no drop bags on any course, and crews may meet riders only at the TH Rogers Lumber Yard aid station (elite crews also at Veteran’s Park). The finish line at The Momentary closes at 6:00 pm.

That crew rule is what makes following from a distance worth it: between the start and TH Rogers there is nowhere for family to stand, and the 20K has no aid at all. On Livebib the rider shares a link to their own broadcast; anyone with it opens it in a browser, no account and no app, and sees the position on the course line, distance covered and a finish estimate for The Momentary that updates as the race goes. Under the bluffs and down in the ravines, where a phone can lose signal, the position is carried forward along the course and marked as estimated rather than freezing.
