Along the Limassol seafront to Amathus and back

The XM Limassol Marathon is a spring road running weekend on the coast of Limassol, with six races over two days.

The XM Limassol Marathon 2027 takes place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 April 2027, with six races and four parallel events. Start and finish are at Molos Park on the Limassol seafront, and race packs are collected from 1 to 3 April. The organiser calls it the largest sports event in Cyprus.

The marathon is accredited by AIMS and is a flat course that follows the Mediterranean coastline, from the centre of the city along the beachfront to the ruins of the ancient royal city of Amathus and back. It starts on Sunday at 7:15 from the western end of Molos Park. The MUSKITA half marathon follows at 7:25 and the PETROLINA 10 km at 7:45 from the same place.

Later on Sunday the Axlebolt 5 km City Race starts at 11:00 and is aimed at people who are new to running. On Saturday at 9:00 the Primetel 5 km Corporate Race starts outside the Yellow Cafe in Molos Park and is the most popular race of the weekend, run by teams. There is also a 1 km kids race.

Water stations stand every 2.5 km on the courses, with toilets from the 5th km. Since the courses are out and back along the coast, the seafront near Molos Park is the natural place for supporters to see people at both ends of the race.
