The 21.1 km follows the course around Levangersundet that the 10 km runs once, with views over the fjord and the town centre and longer flat stretches along the way. It starts and finishes on the athletics track. The course is clearly marked throughout, volunteers staff drink stations along the whole route and there is medical cover all the way round. The organiser does not publish a time limit.

Four pacers carry flags, aiming for 1:30 (4:16 per km), 1:40 (4:45), 1:50 (5:13) and 2:00 (5:41), so the half suits anyone chasing one of those barriers. The relay starts at the same time, with legs of 5.9, 5.5, 6.0 and 5.5 km and the timing chip on the baton. Prize money for the first three women and men is 1,500, 1,000 and 500 kroner, the prize-giving is at 13:25, and the runners’ banquet in the Elman tent starts at 13:00.
